Special Tribal Leader Workshop Series

Labor and Employment Law in Indian Country

“Tribes have significant opportunities to enact and implement their own laws to govern labor and employment relations within their territories, consistent with their particular values and policy priorities.  Making those policy determinations is the essence of tribal sovereignty.”

NCAI is proud to announce a new training opportunity for tribal leaders.  The new book “Labor and Employment Law in Indian Country,” published jointly by the Native American Rights Fund (NARF) and DrummondWoodsum, written by Kaighn Smith, Jr. and edited by Richard Guest, is the basis for a series of training events sponsored by NCAI over the next six months.  Developed with tribal leaders in mind, the sessions will focus on why this area of law is so important and what is happening currently.

Please Note: We are currently switching webinar systems and will have the registration active again shortly. Thank you for your patience.
